Jane Brockbank, BA (Hons), LicAc, MBAcC

I am a fully qualified, traditional acupuncturist working at Belmont House , Gloucester Road in Patchway, Bristol, serving Bradley Stoke, Charlton Hayes and surrounding areas.

I am also part of the team of acupuncturists at Cowan House, Weston Super-Mare where I have been working since December 2023.

I graduated from The Acupuncture Academy and was awarded a Distinction for their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, which is a three year degree level qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. I was also Highly Commended for my practical work which is the highest grade given. My training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the five element approach.  This means that I will consider your main health problem, together with a holistic approach to you as an individual.

I run a general practice and to date have seen people presenting with issues such as headache, migraine, sciatica, back, shoulder, neck pain, male and female fertility, menstruation, IBS, Long Covid, fibromyalgia, cancer treatment side effects, prostrate issues, insomnia, anxiety. To name but a few!

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adhere to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. British Acupuncture Council members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority which is a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers, and is accountable to Parliament.

I have been having accupuncture for nearly a year now with Jane. I can honestly say this is by far the best I’ve had. Many years ago I had acupuncture in another area where I lived, always for the same condition which is migraine which I’ve had since puberty. Last year my migraines had suddenly increased and after going to the GP they suggested trying accupuncture again as this treatment has been passed by NICE as effective but of course not on the NHS (yet!) I was going through a very difficult time when I came across Cowan house and found Jane. She is professional and friendly with a very calming influence. She is professional with a lovely approach and can show empathy where needed. You feel safe in her hands as she is a trustworthy person who is clearly  passionate about what she does. She understands her clients and has a great deal of knowledge as well as life experience which comes across reassuringly . She listens very well whilst also remembering small details of your life. She works holistically and this been key for my treatment. I can’t recommend Jane enough she is accessible affordable and dependable she also has a great sense of humour and we often laugh. She is just a kind and sensitive human being -it’s a privilege to know her. She has helped me heal emotionally and for that I thank her from the bottom of my heart. I have been having acupuncture with Jane for 4 months to help me manage symptoms of a medical condition. Initially treatment was weekly and now I go for maintenance sessions as needed. Jane is wonderfully warm, very skilled, highly qualified and well read in terms of being able to offer a fully holistic, and individual approach to her clients and their treatments.
