I am a fully qualified, traditional acupuncturist working at Belmont House , Gloucester Road in Patchway, Bristol, serving Bradley Stoke, Charlton Hayes and surrounding areas.
I am also part of the team of acupuncturists at Cowan House, Weston Super-Mare where I have been working since December 2023.
I graduated from The Acupuncture Academy and was awarded a Distinction for their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, which is a three year degree level qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. I was also Highly Commended for my practical work which is the highest grade given. My training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the five element approach. This means that I will consider your main health problem, together with a holistic approach to you as an individual.
I came to acupuncture as a career after experiencing profound improvement following an operation. Over the years it has also helped me with sleep, in times of stress and through physical transitions in my life. Prior to this and to having children , I was a secondary school teacher in London , where amongst other responsibilities I set up a mentoring scheme for teenagers struggling with their studies.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adhere to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. British Acupuncture Council members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority which is a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers, and is accountable to Parliament.
My clinics are licensed by North Somerset and South Gloucestershire District Council and I hold full medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance cover.
